Total Cost of Behavior® (TCB) Training
Aimed at all managers, including buyers and financiers, as well as CSR managers; anyone who wants to incorporate behavioral factors into their management of organizational efficiency and performance.
This training course provides an understanding of how actual usage patterns are central to business activities, and how these patterns influence costs and impacts for companies and organizations.
Go beyond acquisition and ownership costs. From TCO to TCB.
Through an operational approach combining theory, case studies, and collaborative workshops, participants learn how to calculate the F(B) “Behavior Factor” (actual cost/face value), use TCB Scoring, our Impact × Activation Levers matrix, to identify behaviors that generate excess costs or underutilization, and define effective, non-coercive levers for action.
At the end of the session, each participant leaves with a roadmap, becomes an internal TCB ambassador, is able to explain the approach, demonstrate its added value (up to 30% potential savings), and initiate cross-functional action plans that contribute to more sustainable, efficient, and responsible mobility and purchasing.
Format: 1 day - Discovery Level
Understanding, measuring, and acting on behavioral performance
This training day offers an immersion into the logic of Total Cost of Behavior® (TCB), an innovative approach that links behaviors, hidden costs, and impacts (3Ps - Profit, People, Planet).
The objective: to enable participants to identify and activate the behavioral levers that generate the best post-purchase ROI, in addition to the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
Learning objectives
- Understanding TCB logic and linking behaviors ↔ costs ↔ 3P impacts.
- Measure the added value of TCB compared to TCO by identifying hidden costs (up to 30%).
- Mastering key tools: F(B) (actual cost/face value), TCB score = Weight × Frequency × Concentration × Changeability, Impact × Changeability matrix, and 3P reading.
- Put it into practice through a business case and a collaborative workshop.
- Become internal TCB ambassadors and identify opportunities for deployment within their organization.
Schedule for the day
Morning (9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
- Introduction, scope, and expectations
- TCB fundamentals: differences between TCO, TCB, and CX, common 3P language, economic and behavioral issues
- Methodology and tools: observe, calculate F(B), identify causes, assess changeability, and take action
- Illustrative case study (IT & Mobility): F(B) calculation, TCB score, levers and observed gains
Afternoon (1:30pm - 5:00pm)
- Practical workshop in small groups: analysis of a real-life issue (travel, fleet, IT, indirect purchasing, etc.)
- Feedback and cross-exchange: learning, best practices, courses of action
- Summary and commitment of participants as TCB ambassadors (action plan D+30)
Supplied supports
- Complete training materials (slides and tool sheets)
- Operational models: F(B) calculation, TCB score, Impact × Changeability matrix, 3P grid
- The quantified business case and a ready-to-use reporting template
A day to transform your view of performance
This training enables purchasing and finance teams to incorporate a behavioral dimension into their management practices without changing tools or suppliers.
TCB then becomes a strategic lever for reducing waste, strengthening cross-functional collaboration between departments, and simultaneously advancing Profit, People, and Planet.
